No two were more loyal than they were, especially Rudy who went on every Sunday Show after the tape and defended DJ Trump.
Newt is not interested in a cabinet post. Too much work. He likes to travel and make money giving speeches and being a FOX News pundit.
Rudy had his pick of Attorney General, Homeland Security, Director of National Intelligence. He refused to be considered and said Secretary of State or I’m not interested. That’s not how you talk to the President Elect. You don’t give him ultimatums.
I’m beginning to think that Rudy will not be in the cabinet at all.
Speaking of Rudy, has there been a falling out? He’s not been on TV for at least a couple of weeks now.
I think if Rudy wants something he will get it. To be honest, at his age, he may be signaling behind the scenes that he is perfectly happy that Trump won and would be happy to enjoy a few of his senior years of retirement, perhaps just advising. What’s wrong with that?

Newt has repeatedly stated he doesn’t want to go to work for the government again, but would like to be a vision/strategy guy helping President Trump to reformulate the goals of government and how to make government meet those goals more efficiently and effectively. I get the impression Newt is thinking totally out of the box on this, and that his ideas would be revolutionary rather than just evolutionary.
