They ought to call out that canard as the incredibly racist, insulting meme the rats have ever come up with. They think their constituents are too stupid to get IDs!

Exactly my point though: There aren’t any voters without ID. The only reason they say it is as a marxist tactic so they continue to be allowed to cheat. It has to stop or we’ll never be able to make the country great again.
Make every voter go through e-verify. Make every Drivers License application have to be validated by e-verify. When renewing in Florida, you have to bring proof of who you are.

This is not fool-proof but it is a start but still, the e-veify bolstered and properly administered will weed them out. As one has said above, the biggest problem after that is inside the precincts as the recount has shown in Detroit. I saw this gaping hole when I was a Poll Worker in the previous two elections and a Poll Watcher in the two prior to that. I know the local Supervisor of Elections personally and he is very aware of what can happen and is happening when we see precincts that are ALWAYS late in reporting. Does Broward and Palm Beach Counties ring a bell?
Yup. Solid voter ID will help in a few states, but you’ve got to have the ballot boxes verified (and you’ve got to maintain control of the ballots, both those voted and blank).
The major fraud is by insiders “voting for” a lot of those who didn’t show up on Election Day.

Therein lies the issue. It has to be a verifiable ID. A picture ID issued by the local health club shouldn’t work.
It’s tough to get an ID when you are dead.

There is no Federal election. That term needs to banished from this forumn. There are only state and local elections. There are state elections for federal offices and there is state election to appoint representatives formthe fedral office of president.
We shoeld nver allow our elections to come u der thendirection and control of thenUS federla governmwnt. It has been trying hard and gaining ground and everyone whomrecognizes and proclaims amneed for thenfederal government tomdo something ismhelping their cause.
Issuing free IDs would be the best and most economical way to go in the mid/long run - it would save untold billions and also insure the integrity of the ballot. What price can we put on the integrity of the ballot alone?
We need to make that the standard response- every time they say they are against voter id because the stupid people can’t get an ID, we just offer to personally drive and pay for anyone who has not been able to get an ID.
You need an ID for everything these days- show me a (legal) citizen who DOES NOT have an ID!
Michigan folks should also pass law requiring one judge from each party for each precinct. No votes counted without two sides represented. OPEN VOTING PRECINCTS. No more Democrat fraud centers. Take 10 out of every 100 absentee ballots and random check for truth. Big penalty for falsifying.
I pray this new administration stops these Democrats from cacelling my votes every year with their illegals, multiple votes from one ballot and other fraudulent means.
How about, in addition to a state-issued ID, also requiring a fingerprint for both in-person and absentee voters? Any absentee ballot (where much of the fraud occurs), lacking a fingerprint is declared invalid. (Not worth digging up the Cook County cemetary to see which corpses still have viable fingerprints.)
Of course, this might disenfranchise those fleeing from law enforcement, convicted felons and illegal aliens who fear that the cops or Immigration might be able to track them down. /sarc
Nothing is going to stop those wily election officials who insert ballots into the scanners multiple times, unless ballots are printed on a similar type of paper as prescriptions are - prescriptions can’t be photocopied or scanned.
All we need is a ballot paper that, after a single scan, has a big “VOTED” appear on it that the scanner can’t/won’t accept a second or a sixth time. There’s a worthy task for all the budding Freep-ventors out there!

Why would any state have to give away BIRTH CERT’s?
YOU should already have your BC. The free ID’s are OK with me, but I don’t understand the 8 year period. IF it is an IS that can ONLY be used to vote-—it would get replaced with a new one if you moved. People move on the average of every 3 1/2 years in the USA.
When I get my driver’s license renewed, the old one is punctured with a pattern of holes, so it isn’t good any longer than the arrival of my new license.
I was impressed with the level of citizenship and residency proof in original only papers I had to bring to the DMV to get the Real ID stamp on my license. If only this was mandatory on all govt issued photo IDs in order to be allowed through the doors at every polling location, never mind vote.
