Why would any state have to give away BIRTH CERT’s?
YOU should already have your BC. The free ID’s are OK with me, but I don’t understand the 8 year period. IF it is an IS that can ONLY be used to vote-—it would get replaced with a new one if you moved. People move on the average of every 3 1/2 years in the USA.
When I get my driver’s license renewed, the old one is punctured with a pattern of holes, so it isn’t good any longer than the arrival of my new license.
And as mentioned elsewhere, purging the role every 2-3 years would go a long way to ensure voting integrity. Voting is an important civic function, and those who would complain about needing to reregister every 2-3 years should not be voting anyway.
