US bomber crew shot down over Japan were dissected while ALIVE in horrific WW2 experiments
Daily Mail ^ | 9 April 2015 | Elaine O'flynn

A Japanese university has opened a museum acknowledging that its staff dissected downed American airmen while they were still alive during World War Two.

The move is a striking step in a society where war crimes are still taboo and rarely discussed, although the incident has been extensively documented in books and by US officials.

A gruesome display at the newly-opened museum at Kyushu University explains how eight US POWs were taken to the centre’s medical school in Fukuoka after their plane was shot down over the skies of Japan in May 1945.

There, they were subjected to horrific medical experiments - as doctors dissected one soldier’s brain to see if epilepsy could be controlled by surgery, and removed parts of the livers of other prisoners as part of tests to see if they would survive.

Aside from a few doctors of unit 731 prosecuted by the Chinese not one was prosecuted in post war Japan by the US in exchange for the research.

Russia with its one carrier that barely works.

What does China have, two now?

Even with everything obama’s done, they would be taken down.

While people say Japan is now a US ally, I point out that Japan has no military and is dependant on the US for it’s defense.
Even without a military I don’t trust them and never will.

I know a young gal who spent seven years in Japan teaching English.
Her take on Japan is that it was a closed society for too long and that it still has the closed society mentality at the upper, governing, levels.

She was a tool of the Holy Spirit and should be commended for her efforts.

As for me, I don’t trust them any further than I can throw them, which these day ain’t far.

“....their finest civilians, were sick in the head.”

The level of commitment to what passed as culture at the time makes the most radical Islamist look like a kindergatarten teacher. It’s why we dropped the bombs. Sending our foot troops in to battle Japanese “civilians” would have cost us tens of thousands of American lives.

As recently as 2011 some kind of mass grave was found in Tokyo, having to do with medical experiments done on POWs by some Tokyo medical school. The Japs excavated this, so I doubt we will every hear any more about it.

It is important to remember this when people start whining about us dropping the Bomb on them.

I use three words to end any such discussion before walking away and ignoring any moron who whines about Hiroshima and Nagasaki:

Bataan. Death. March.

You must look again. Japan has a bigger and more powerful navy than the Brits do today. And does anyone doubt they could create Toyota quality nukes in a few months? It’s child’s play.

The JSDF could easily take apart most of our NATO allies.

I haven’t paid attention to the Japanese navy.
The last thing I remember they had a small Defense Force instead of an army but were talking about expanding it for a “more aggressive defensive posture “.
Any word on that?

With their nuclear energy program, who’s to say they don’t already have some nukes stashed away somewhere?

“The JSDF could easily take apart most of our NATO allies.”

Don’t most of our “allies” have a show force but we do the heavy lifting.
Excepting England of course.

I admit to being behind the times as to Japanese.military abilities, so I will take whatever schooling I am due.

Bottom line: I don’t and never will trust them.

Japan is in the top ten worldwide for military spending. They have 4th-gen Mitsubishi MBT's with, as I understand, high-end onboard tech, 5th gen fighters and drones, and license-built Apache helicopters. Japan's navy is the fifth largest in the world, their ships are equipped with Aegis systems. They are building (or have already built, can't remember) a helicopter carrier, and have fairly recently started aggressively building up their submarine fleet (watch a launch ceremony on youtube -- enough gongs, banners, and rising suns to make you think you've fallen backwards in time to imperial Japan). I saw some Japanese ships and sailors docked at Newport Naval Station a few years back and they looked pretty impressive, not that that necessarily means anything.

Not to mention, the stereotype in Japan is that servicemen are mostly rural-dwellers from Kyushu -- in other words, the Japanese version of southern rednecks.

I should add that their constitution bans them from building "offensive weaponry," so they (theoretically) don't have ballistic missiles, bombers, or ships capable of offensive action.

You know, like submarines.

And liberals get all butt hurt because we ‘interned’ Japanese-Americans during the War!

U.S. Gen. Douglas MacArthur secretly granted immunity to the physicians of Unit 731 in exchange for providing America with their research on biological weapons. -http://www.japantimes.co.jp/opinion/2001/06/05/commentary/world-commentary/the-trial-of-unit-731/#.WEhqXn1UVdA The US forgave the Japanese atrocities in exchange for the research. Maybe forgave is not the correct term. But I don't know what else to use.

Thanks, I did not know that.

Does not seem like a good deal.
