the MI Court of Appeals is a STATE court; the 6th Circuit is a UNITED STATES (FEDERAL) COURT OF APPEALS. The USCA (in either MI or PA) is the route to SCOTUS, which is what Stein is after

Going to the USSC will not change anything.
All the US District Court ruled was a very narrow ruling, that had nothing to do with the merits of the case.

You can appeal directly from MISC to the SCOTUS if a federal constitutional issue involved.
This is MI state law so the SCOTUS won’t even hear the case.
