Several years back, I visited the Lockheed Martin plant which was designing replacement presidential helicopters. They proudly (?) bragged that one of the requirements for the design was that the president must be able to stand ANYWHERE around the hull of the aircraft, and see his reflection in the paint.

These are the kinds of things that drive the costs, and Trump is absolutely right in cancelling the order. However, I place the blame on the government, not Boeing, and Boing should be compensated for their costs to date. It is the government bureaucracies that drive up costs, not business.
