Only they are “celebrities” because of the stratospheric salaries paid to them. They get paid 10,000 times or more than a really good teacher, a really good dentist, a really good auto mechanic, and perform little useful work for the people.

Bingo!!! There is absolutely no need for any professional sport team. They exist for the pleasure of the audience—no one is forced to attend, everyone goes because they want to, not because they have to. When your car breaks down and needs a break job or a water pump, what choice do you have? It has to be repaired, you have no choice. Ergo, the local mechanic is more necessary to our lives than an overpaid bloviating, tattooed member of the National Thug League.
