You're right. He was, then he wasn't, then he hated Trump, then he voted for him reluctantly, and now he seems to be on board - mainly as a way of sticking it to the left.
Kurt is one of those guys who will gleefully ditch Trump the instant Trump does something he doesn't like.
But he's a fun writer, and for now, his stuff is readable.
I've followed and unfollowed him a bunch of times on Twitter, because when he's good, he's very very good.

I read it about a month ago when “Trump had no chance of winning” as a way of preparing mentally for the December Civil War. Good book. A fun description of Blue America and quite believable.
