She’s right, he is not qualified to run HUD. I think he recently said so himself. I think Pelosi is a moron, though. At least Ben Carson is smart.
Sorry, not much of a Ben Carson fan. He ran a terrible campaign and was not a good debater. He didn’t seem well-informed on the issues. Seems like a good man and seems smart, but he was / is not the least Presidential.
My impression of his campaign is that it was a money-maker of some kind for him. I think someone on FR was saying that he was all about selling his donors list, that was his campaign’s biggest money-maker? Something like that.
Newt gave Carson’s nomination a thumbs up and that’s better than any voice on this forum.
Ben Carson grew up in Public Housing. Not sure any other HUD head had that experience.
But I know, never confuse the Whiners Choir with inconvenience facts. They MUST find something to whine about here daily.
Absolutely agree. However, he is a pediatric neurosurgeon and became the youngest chief of pediatric neurosurgery in the country at age 33. That means he supervised others. That and his incredible intellect makes me believe he can easily administer HUD. I would have preferred Trump nominate Dr. Carson as Secretary of Health and Human Services. I believe him to wasted on HUD, which I also believe should be folded into HHS.
Listen, I have personal connections to Dr. Carson.
He fixed my nephew’s head as a baby.
Completely selfless, when thanked by my mother and sister, he stated that they should give thanks to God. He is only an instrument.
2nd, we have a family friend who has been a nurse at JH for years.
She said however staff and surgeons were behaving (which could be a bit low-class, apparently), they would attend immediately upon his entry. This included specifically a meeting regarding a dying child, wherein he commanded such respect, one could just feel the room stop, and all ears on him for the commands.
He is the strong silent type. The kind who commands attention by his aura.
