An interesting comparison - Since MOST of FDR’s “country stories” were complete lies about never-seen “old folks” who “advised” him on national policy and international relations!

BINGO! Never before have The People been able to hear\read multiple angles on the same subject and make their own determination\conclusion. No more Uncle Walt and the like skewing the works w/ their opinion (or lack of reporting) as ‘news’.
OTOH, 100 yrs. of Socialist take-over of the schools have turned-off the ability of a majority of said People to any chance of objective\analytical thinking.
No wonder they want to get the ‘net\alt-sources’ under govt control....the final coffin nail.

FDR worked hard to gain control of the media. Many of today’s “progressive” establishment media have their roots in FDR’s power structure. The Washington Post and the Atlanta Constitution Journal, were pro Franklin papers pretty much created at the time. I believe the Washington post underwent a major change of ownership/administration.
