Former Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife Sandi Jackson leave the federal court house after being sentenced to prison, August 14, 2013 in Washington, DC. Jackson was sentenced to 30 months in prison for using $750, 000 in campaign money to pay for living expenses and luxury items. His wife received a 12-month prison term.
Jesse Jackson Jr. urged President Barack Obama Thursday to pardon millions of former prison inmates, a group that would include Jackson and his wife, former Chicago Ald. Sandi Jackson.
In his open letter to the president, which Jackson posted to his Facebook page early Thursday morning, the former congressman claimed that “the great 2016 pardoning of the masses will create a resounding echo in history and will mark you as the greatest Christian president ever to serve.”

I am rather certain that Jesus had something OTHER than chutzpah in mind when he was preaching on forgiveness. Jesse Jr would love to follow in the footsteps of Marion Bradley and return to 'public' service!
I’m told JJJr’s rationale is that since millions of babies have been murdered without so much as a slap on the wrist to the mother (the perp) or the abortion mill (the accessory), it is therefore a gross miscarriage of justice to incarcerate these people for equal or lesser crimes.

I wish Obama HAD spent a couple years doing just this. It would have been within the Constitution and taken up time from his other clearly illegal go-arounds of the Constitution.
