HARRISBURG, Pa. -- A Green Party-backed campaign changed its strategy to force a statewide recount of Pennsylvanias Nov. 8 presidential election, won by Republican Donald Trump, and said late Saturday night that it will seek help in the federal courts, rather than the state courts.
The announcement that it would seek an emergency federal court order on Monday for a recount came hours after it dropped a case in the state courts.
Make no mistake - the Stein campaign will continue to fight for a statewide recount in Pennsylvania, recount campaign lawyer Jonathan Abady said in a statement issued around 11:30 p.m. We are committed to this fight to protect the civil and voting rights of all Americans.
In the statement, Abady said barriers to a recount in Pennsylvania are pervasive and the state court system is ill-equipped to address the problem.

Only slightly more than a week before the 13th arrives for this utter, disgusting nonsense to go on.
You have nailed it. Think of these Marxists as parasites who working for the criminal subversion of America into a Communist state. That way these insects will have America fully engaged in their grip where they can suck the life out of it for their own benefit. They are demonic insects.
FLA is going nowhere too. It looks like the squeeze is coming from behind the scenes.None of them have the stomach to really fight it out with the new nationalist power brokers.
The deadline for challenging the election in Pennsylvania was November 28. Federal courts should throw this out. Should. What they actually will do comes down to judge shopping, and Team Hillary is good at that.
Why does someone who got less than 1% of the vote allowed to do this?
This is obviously for Hillary.
So they miss the Pennsylvania deadline, have no evidence and Jill Stein only got less than 1% of the vote.
Why is this even being entertained? It’s obviously a stall tactic.
Yet I’m sure a shopped judge will figure out a way.
I don’t get this because the States run the elections and not the Feds.
“I dont get this because the States run the elections and not the Feds.”
I was wondering who was going to finally get to that? The only thing available to the feds is some sort of civil rights case in connection to it.
LOL!
News never breaks on Saturday night! The 20-something writer is probably stoned and isn't sure of his or her own name.
I'm no expert on election law or windmills, but I think that Stein is tilting at windmills.
(She gave Wisconsin $3,500,000 but can't post $1,000,000 in Pennsylvania? I wonder what happened to the rest of the money she raised.)
trump will now have a mandate to purge nationwide voter rolls of all the dead people and illegals voting for the last 25 years to help democrats
Recounts in every urban center should be conducted across this country and then we’ll have a little talk about election
“integrity.”
Yes, it does look like a ploy to exclude Trump electors.
Thanks for posting. The depths of the criminal mind have never been pondered by most Americans.
Jill [Franken]Stein ALERT!
The choice of a President is the exclusive right of fifty state legislatures, through the mechanism of appointing electors.
Allowing Bush v. Gore to be decided in Federal court instead of in Congress was a terrible error, which will now be repeated over and over until elections decided by voters are a thing of the past.
“What they actually will do comes down to judge shopping, and Team Hillary is good at that.”
So far in the recount effort their “judge shopping” has produced big duds in the courts, and that includes rulings from judges in heavily Democratic areas like Madison Wisconsin and Philly.
Any judge that would OK a wacko request like this should be immediately given the choice of being deported or executed in public for the crime of sedition against the United States.
Almost. SCOTUS stepped in on the Florida Bush v. Gore recount because of its federal significance and because of the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause. Bush v. Gore
