This might actually be smart on her part. Shows Trump that she’s not just a sycophant wanting a job.
It stinks. Just lower ALL corp tax.
Does Palin even know what the actual “deal” was?
Well if America as a whole can be called cronies, I guess that would call for a plea of “guilty, but so bleeping what, Sarah?”!
Apparently she didn’t get offered a crony spot she expected for her shilling and is now faking the faux high road.
Theoretically she is correct. But her motives are obvious.
But she is. She’s just damaged beyond repair.
This is what Donald has pledged to do.
Much of that will be done by reducing the burden imposed by government, which is a twofer. The nanny’s shackles will fall off the corps, and so will the bill the nanny issues to the corps for doing it.
Instead of cutting individual deals, how about eliminating corporate taxes altogether? Make this the most business friendly country in the world, taxes wise.
I read that that is in Trump’s tax reform plan.
Without being privy to the inner details of the Carrier deal, sounds like Sarah has a valid conservative point.
I’m with Palin. Anyone honest with themselves knows Trump is a mixed bag. However we’d be dead if Hillary had won, and Ted couldn’t have weathered the corruption.
I have supported Palin forever.
Since BEFORE McCain even announced he was picking her for his Vice Presidential nominee.
But Palin needs to shut up about this. Trump is advocating for American businesses.
IT IS ABOUT TIME, that someone is.
Trump is completely, totally right, to do so.
Sorry Palin, but you are off-base this time.
I don’t totally agree with her on this. I think what Trump is doing is rolling back the Obama regulations including those of the EPA that put the hurt on businesses. This will be good for all the companies and not just for Carrier.
From what I read the $7 million over 10 years was already on the table from the state of Indiana. There may be other things we do not know about but overall I think it is a win-win.
Not only Carrier will have jobs saved but the support and supply companies will also have jobs saved. I also believe this will affect the local retailers as well.
Actually this is the beginning of undoing crony capitalism. The orphans who were left in the cold — who did NOT profit because the caprice did not touch them in the right way — will start to come in from it.
Yeah, I know about the Indiana deal. BUT. That deal had been extended before Carrier said aw the heck with it, we’re going to Mexico anyhow.
What we have is Indiana heroically trying to bail Carrier and like companies out of the bind placed on them by an out of control Fedguv. The problem is the out of control Fedguv. Control that again, and there won’t be any need for Indiana or any other state to do that, which need is terribly unfair to Indiana or any other state.
He can throw her a bone and put her on some advisory council or something like that. There are literally hundreds of those. Or a nice small ambassadorship.
She may not understand what liberation looks like.
I guess Sarah’s been listening to Mark Levin because that’s what he’s been saying.
Unlike many here, I’ve never been much of a Palin fan. She seems to talk a good game and then quit at halftime.
This is really just “popping off” before anything has a chance to get done. Trump simply did what he had promised in this particular situation. Palin disgraced herself for opening her big mouth here. Sure, this kind of “deal” isn’t how Trump will go about fixing the problems of jobs leaving the country, but he’s not yet in a position to do anything concrete. Palin was way out of line, and she displays a lack of understanding circumstances. She needs to take some lessons from Mad Dog Mattis! Maybe he could recommend some serious reading.
