You realize your taxes will go up to make up for the loss of federal $$$. It will probably be gasoline but maybe even the sales tax.
You can take comfort that the taxes going up are the most regressive so it hurts the one that legislators claim to want to help. They sleep at night with a self-back-pat, you pay more and the poor suffer.
That is a large part of why I moved to Texas.

I’m here too. Been here all of my now 76 years, and I want this state to GO UNDER! It may be costly for me personally, but going bankrupt is absolutely the only way for California to regain it’s former position as #1 in the nation. The RATS have made this place last place in nearly every quarter.
