America’s game is baseball.
The Cubs won the World Series!
Col. Allen West is one of America's great patriots whose understanding of the history of nations, and of America's military and Constitutional history from the Revolutionary Period and George Washington to now qualifies him for a unique role in restoration and renewal of its leadership and light in a world where both are needed desperately!
I love Allen West, but I’m tired of all the nonsense about ‘coming together, we’re all Americans, etc., etc...’. Democrats (in other words, Leftists) believe in an ideology utterly at odds with our Constitutional Republic. There can be no ‘coming together’. It will be a constant fight until one side loses. People have to understand that fact.
I like Allen West even MORE now!
- All service academy football teams run the triple option - and it’s a great offense to watch. It harks back to the ‘old days’ of pigskin legerdemain, where you have to really REALLY pay attention to where the football ends up. Often, the camera loses it, and that’s fun too! ;) (Amongst all the other major division schools, only Ga. Tech runs it also).
- If you ever get a chance to actually GO TO a service academy game, DO SO! I saw West Point play TCU a few years back, and when the Cadets came marching in....well...GOOSEBUMPS BABY! Same thing when I got to see Navy at Texas State, it’s just inspiring. ‘Our’ service academy kids (especially the football players) do more by 8 o’clock in the morning than most other kids do all day.
It may not be baseball (’America’s sport’), but football IS THE quintessential TEAM sport. If enjoying the traditions of football is interesting to you, I suggest going to Coach Wyatt’s site. He is imo THE premier historian and keeper-of-the-flame (with SPECIAL emphasis on old school service academy traditions). He even promotes the ‘Black Lion’ award as a memorial to Don Holleder. Check it out. Spank’s highest recommendation ;)
When it comes to playing Navy, Army football needs an exorcism.
