An Arkansas state senator wants to take Bill and Hillary Clintons names off the states largest airport.
State Sen. Jason Rapert (R) said Novembers election results show Arkansans dont believe the Clintons should have Little Rocks airport named in their honor.
The Clintons left Arkansas and do not reside here, Rapert told The Hill. Many in our state do not want the first thing people see and last thing they remember about Arkansas being two of the most scandal-ridden politicians in American history.
Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton was routed in Arkansas in the presidential election, losing to President-elect Donald Trump
61% to 34%. Clinton won only eight of the states 75 counties including Pulaski County, where the airport is based. No Democrat has seriously competed for Arkansass electoral votes since former President Bill Clinton won reelection in 1996.
The Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission renamed the field in honor of the former governor and first lady in 2012. Before that decision, the field had been named in honor of Capt. George Geyer Adams, a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard who was killed in an accident at the airport in 1937.
Adams, a member of the Little Rock City Council at the time of his death, helped secure funding from the Works Progress Administration to buy what had been federal property on which the airport now sits.
Rupert wants the airport to revert to its old name in honor of Adams.
The nation resoundingly rejected the Clinton legacy, and many think it is not smart to have the gateway airport to our state projecting a message the rest of the country and our own voters rejected, Rupert said. The Clinton Presidential Library is in our state and that is enough for Bill Clinton...

Well, they're the Arkansas Mafia.
They would never be elected in Arkansas if they ran for office today. In fact, they would likely lose to a no-name Republican with no name recognition or experience at all.
Sounds a little like the liberals “remove all the Confederate landmarks trick” is being played here. Good. They need to see how stupid it looks from the other side.
That Makes me SMILE.
Finally, a little pushback from Arkansas.
Since she isnt’ going to be Queen Bee, they feel brave enough to speak out.
That said, Hillary DID win Pulaski County (Little Rock)...red state cities still often at least lean blue though, and there are a decent number of government employees there.
Why? They don’t think Bentdick & Harlot Municipal Airport is a good name?
Something a little less controversial, maybe: Al Capone, Jeffrey Dahmer, Charles Manson...
Can we do something about Jimmy Carter Blvd. here in Georgia, while we are at it?
I am sure there is a strip club or prison somewhere in Arkansas that can be named after the Clintons as a compromise.
Made. My. Day!
please tell me that ends in a dead end,
Funny how things have changed.
I always thought it telling of the media that they failed to mention that ALGORE would have been President if he’d won Arkansas ....OR....his home state of Tennessee.
Trump won Arkansas with over 60% of the vote. Doubling Hillary’s percentage.
the name never should of been changed. it is bad form to change the name of a place that has already been given a name to honor someone. if the Clintons had any class they would of asked for the renaming to be stopped.
No hope, no joy...
Maybe the public will wonder why we have honors and a National Holiday for a plagiarist, con artist, and serial adulterer and act upon it accordingly with the tenets they are setting for other historical figures?
For a Democrat to win in Arkansas these days, they’d have to be unelectable in national party primaries (or in the urban elitist base) and would need some major GOP scandal.
replace iy with Juanita Broaddrick!!! ... I would throw in money in the GoFundMe for that one
