Pelosi holds onto leadership
The Hill ^ | 11/30/16 | Mike Lillis

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday fended off a challenge to her long leadership reign, defeating Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) in a closed-door vote prompted largely by Donald Trump’s unlikely ascension to the White House.

Pelosi got 134 votes to Ryan's 63. The victory sends a message that while there's a growing appetite for major changes in the party's leadership structure and messaging tactics, it's not strong enough to loosen Pelosi's grip on a liberal-heavy group that's rarely challenged her authority.

Ryan and his supporters had argued that the Democrats' grim performance in this year's elections — the latest in a string of cycles planting Republicans firmly in the majority — was a clear signal that Pelosi's leadership strategy has failed to attract the broad coalition of voters required to return the Speaker's gavel to the Democrats' hands.

76 year old Pelosi knows where all of the bodies are buried and under whose beds the young boys are hiding. Meanwhile, failed minority leader candidate Tim Ryan will be in the Dog House for challenging Bella Pelosi. Poor guy.

MAGA!

EXCELLENT.

Now, cast the D party into total irrelevance by installing the Muslim Brotherhood (Keith Ellison) as DNC chair.

And keep pushing the transgender bathrooms issue. People love that one!

Ahhh yes, a picture of that infamous day where “someone” said the F-word yet only Dems heard it and there was no proof.
Not even after Andrew Breitbart offered a YUGE reward for any such evidence. Hell awaits her unless she has a death bed conversion and mass confession.

They have lived through the defeats of two of their speakers at the polls. Pelosi’s is the safest seat this side of the Vatican.

I think that’s great. They should become as ridiculous as is humanly possible and they are apparently determined to do so.

Love it. Under her leadership and obama’s in the last 3 elections they have lost the house, the senate, and the White House.

I now look forward to seeing them lose even more in the next election.

It goes to show that the left still refuse to see how their party has collapsed, and how much they are out of touch. Instead they triple down thinking things will be different.

Ryan sounded like one of the Dems who understood the results of the election. Pelosi/Ellison will be easier to beat. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3496881/posts

Tim Ryan was and is nothing but a weak wanna be and didn’t and doesn’t stand verbally for Christian values. Has always touted his Quarterback and Catholic background but in 2015 changed from Pro-Life to Pro-Choice. He leads meditation sessions in congress . . no Jesus there. The read below is worth it. It is time to drain the swamp some more.

Great news for the GOP. Truth be told, her younger competitor was just as liberal but pretended not to be. When push came to shove, he voted for cap-and-trade and Obummercare as the Journal opinions editors pointed out in today’s lead editorial.

They’re ALL phonies!

Mr. Ryan approached his campaign as an American-Democrat. Pelosi operates as though the DNC is an international Marxist organization. She seems to answer to they behind a dark curtain of organizing.

Under “normal” circumstances Mr. Ryan would have been appreciated by the thinking class of the Democrat party, and perhaps he was as mostly they are a bunch of followers.

This loss by Mr. Ryan benefits the Republican Party IMO, but shows us more the results of a thuggish style political party. Pelosi in a sane, and objective circumstance should not have had a chance to continue her bathroom politics.

Great. Keep the ineffective ones.

Example, in RVN, we had a VC sniper that would shoot one rifle round into our base camp every dawn or dusk. He never put a round within 10 meters of a living target, man or beast. (Well, he did hit the “water buffalo” once, and we were low on drinking water for a week....)

All the new “stud” lieutenants always wanted to sent out an overnight patrol and kill him. The CSM always “counseled” the new lieutenants not to, as the VC might replace the current sniper with someone who could shoot.

Leave Pelosi in place, and hope she is the “talking head” the DNC uses as often as possible.
