My family had a rabbit for a pet, and despite him going blind in one eye, getting old and fat, and all those other health problems that rabbits have, we kept him to the end.

I would expect this kind of remorseless, heartless, soulless emotional detachment from a sociopath or psychopath. period. I am concerned for the children being raised in this kind of environment.

we've had many as well - some were fun, others quiet...some like dogs, they'd roam the house, and sleep the light of a sunny window...all were litter trained.

One was paralyzed - died on Xmas day, another had suffered a broken jaw (fixed), another had a fixed broken leg... and our recent addition is the most lovable rescue that was found wandering outside...this rabbit loves to be snuggled by my wife.

No cages, they have a large pen in the room & are allowed to roam daily...every nite getting a small pc of carrot (you should see how excited they get)
