I hope Trump’s dinner with Romney is to let down easy. Can’t you just hear the dems in the hearings? “Mr. Romney, do you still believe Trump is unfit to be president?”
I wonder if Willard knows Trump’s fav meal is McDonalds ...burger, fries and Diet Coke...

That Trump uses the dinner to tell Romney that he has considered someone else is also my thinking. However, the dinner may be used to offer Romney another job, like Ambassador to France and Monaco; replacing Jane Hartley. We may remember that Romney spent 2½ years in France as a Mormon missionary. He is fluent in French. That’s the ticket.
I’m putting what’s going on here together in my mind. Trump hired Mitch McConnell’s wife Elaine as Sec. of Transportation as the price of getting his legislative agenda through the Senate smoothly.
He is doing the same deal making with Paul Ryan, in order to get his legislative agenda through the House, and the price he is paying for that is hiring Mitt Romney, Ryan’s good buddy and former running mate during the last presidential election, as Secretary of State.
So, it won’t surprise me at all if Trump goes ahead and nominates Romney for SOS as part of what he feels is necessary to ease his legislative agenda through both Houses of Congress, thus placating both McConnell and Ryan with something both of them want. The Art of the Deal. I just smell deal making going on here big-time behind the scenes. We will find out soon enough.
