German defense manufacturing company Heckler & Koch will stop providing arms to Turkey.
We only want to deliver to reliable countries, also not countries that are unequivocal democratic, not corrupt, and are part of NATO or close to NATO, an anonymous employee of the organization told the German newspaper Die Welt.
Turkey as a result was removed from the customer list.
The change of strategy was justified by the fact that exporting permits to human rights violating countries is difficult or nearly impossible, and also to prevent negative headlines in the media. The moral criticism of such exports can be understood, the Heckler & Koch GmbH manager said.
The company also wants to avoid court cases.
Experts say there are strict laws in Germany regarding arm exports. In the past, the federal German government was also reluctant to give permissions for arm exports to Saudi Arabia.

So, how many weapons was H&K actually selling to Turkey?
I bet very few.
Are we still selling to them .
But somehow Turkey was able to buy hundreds(!) of Leopard II MBTs...
Of course not...we give them away free to all the jihades.... Free AR15 with every fill up..!!
The Turks make their own small arms.
That’s a laugh...for years they were practically handing out G3 production licenses like candy. If they don’t sell directly, they can have one of their licensees do it.
