The election was held on November 2, 2004, with the initial count showing Gregoire trailing Rossi by 261 votes. However, a legally mandated machine recount reduced that lead to only 42 votes, then a hand count that was requested and funded by the state’s Democratic Party gave Gregoire a 10-vote lead.
Following a State Supreme Court ruling that allowed several hundred ballots from King County to be included, her lead was further increased to 130 votes...
Washington’s Republican leadership then filed suit, claiming that hundreds of votes, including votes by felons,[18] deceased voters,[19] and double voters,[19] were included in the canvass, but on June 6, 2005, Judge John E. Bridges ruled that the Republican party did not provide enough evidence that the disputed votes were ineligibleor for whom they were castto overturn the election.[20]
This is an important point to remember. Even documented evidence of massive numbers of people voting illegally in an election is not likely to support a challenge to an election result. The simple reason for this is that votes are cast anonymously, so there's really no way to tell -- unless you have sworn affidavits from people who voted telling you who they voted for -- which candidate received the illegal votes.
“The election was held on November 2, 2004, with the initial count showing Gregoire trailing Rossi by 261 votes.”
But not 10,000 votes or more! This is just “hail Mary” BS, all of it, and it shows you the depth of the moral depravity in the RAT Party. As the fortunes of each party ebb and flow election after election, we always here how the down and out party won’t be back soon, but it is until now. If Donald Trump does anything like what he’s promised, this will be the first time that a party doesn’t come back anytime soon. The difference is that unlike the “generic GOPe,” he’s actually going to do something other than sit home and play pocket pool like the GOPe does in the Congress every time they are given a chance to “lead.”
