In your face, Snowflake.
I was struck by the huge contrast between Trump’s statement and Obama’s statement.
Which leader, Trump or Obama, has the better grasp of the legacy of Fidel Castro? Which leader has expressed himself with clarity as to the impact of Castro on Cuba and the world?
Which leader is willing to “tell it like it is” and not fall into the “trap” of feeling compelled to say something good about someone who has died, regardless of who that person was, or the evil he perpetrated???
Hmm...will obama order flags lowered?
President-Elect Donald J. Trump Statement
Today, the world marks the passing of a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades. Fidel Castros legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights.
While Cuba remains a totalitarian island, it is my hope that today marks a move away from the horrors endured for too long, and toward a future in which the wonderful Cuban people finally live in the freedom they so richly deserve.
Though the tragedies, deaths and pain caused by Fidel Castro cannot be erased, our administration will do all it can to ensure the Cuban people can finally begin their journey toward prosperity and liberty. I join the many Cuban Americans who supported me so greatly in the presidential campaign, including the Brigade 2506 Veterans Association that endorsed me, with the hope of one day soon seeing a free Cuba.
Trump:
“Today, the world marks the passing of a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades. Fidel Castros legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights.”

..yep DJT becoming president scared Castro to death—Cuba Libre!
Obama believes he is telling it as it is. He supports Fidel Castro and his actions. Is it any wonder that his campaign workers had a picture of Che Guevara in their offices?

Barack Hussein Obama - The Worst President In American History
“Free at last.” “Thank God Almighty we are free at last.”
One small quibble, though. He could've left out the part about the Veteran's group that endorsed.
If it perturbs us that Barky imposes himself into things that are not about him, it should perturb us when President Trump does it.
He could've given kudos to the group without mentioning it had endorsed him.
Not gonna lose any sleep over it, though.
End of raining on parade. Carry on.
We richly HOPE it for Cuba... but before God, it is always a mistake to say Cuba (or anyone else not God) DESERVES it.
Freedom is a grace gift of God, offered to the willing. God deserves the glory. When Cubans are ready to give the glory to God, Cuba will become free.
Wow! Effeminate gush from Obunghole and pro-freedom, no-nonsense statement from Trump. You could not ask for a more stark contrast between the child and the man. It is going to be a GREAT eight years.
Not mincing any flowery words. Straight talk. I like.
I believe Donald Trump realizes that a major spiritual movement has picked him up.
This would be Donald’s way of saying that this veterans group is part of the movement.
Sadly, Obama’s lousy statement is much better than that from the Pope.
