Also sad.
Another piece of my childhood gone.
L
Barbara Billingsley was the ultimate TV mom.
Nevertheless, RIP, Ms. Henderson.
We’re old .... and next.
Which made Billingsley’s scene in Airplane! all the funnier.
Most folks who see that scene now miss that entirely.
I have always maintained that Ward Cleaver and Jack Arnold were the best TV dads.
Sucka don’t want no help....

Rest in peace
Very into nutrition and exercise but also holistic remedies...even after heart surgery. RIP.
She was in one of the WORST musicals ever made! SONG OF NORWAY back in 1971.
So bad it was never shown on TV or released on VCR tape. I saw it, beautiful scenery until they began to sing and dance.
I took a date, she loved it. I noticed several members of the audience who had been to Norway loving the scenery shots and trying to keep from puking for the rest.
It is one of those films that is best watched (Like John Denver’s BIGHORN!) with the sound turned off.

Oh no!! I did a little business with Susan Olsem this year. She’s gonna be devastated!
Hope she got past this thinking before she passed. I don’t wish her any ill, but this was a little much.
The role of the "jive talkin' woman" was originally offered to Harriet Nelson, of "Ozzie and Harriet" fame. When she turned it down, the part went to Barbara Billingsley (who, in my opinion, was perfect in the role.)
A piece of my childhood gone, but the less I knew about their personal lives the better.
Yep, grew up watching The Brady Bunch. Still watch the reruns.
I saw Florence Henderson perform at Lincoln Center in NYC in the 1967 revival of South Pacific. I’ll never forget her talent and beauty. RIP.
Yeah, being the TV wife of Mr. Brady must have had a profound effect on her. Or was she hanging around with Shirley Jones at the time....or maybe it was all of that and the fact that it was the ‘70’s?
