The president appoints and if the senate, upon giving advice, consents then the official takes the oath and then enforces the Constitution, not their whims.
Regulations are meant to regulate who makes money. That’s it.
Oh yes! I still have my 90’s washer and dryer and will keep them repaired until this insanity stops. We still have our 80’s era toilets and take the damn water saver plugs off every piece of plumbing we possibly can and don’t get me started on the light bulbs. I’ll share this with the incoming President.
The "real" light bulb has no future. LED is the future for now and I'm sure something even more energy efficient and cheaper is in the works. My primary residence is pretty much all LED, which greatly lowers my electric bill. The only place I have incandescent is in the closets, which are hardly ever used.
The curly-que bulbs suck and they’re toxic.
However, the new LED bulbs are almost indistinguishable from the old type, but use practically no power and last forever. Buy em cheap at Lowes or Home Depot.
I so agree with you there, Graybeard58!!!
Damn, they can’t even get ten words into an article without lying. The protests fizzled, not swelled. What’s the point in continuing to read past that?
Why, LED run much cooler and last far longer, now CFLs though can go rot.
EPA, ATF, IRS AND BLM need to GO!!!
Go buy “rough service” bulbs. They are an easy way around the stupid regulations. They don’t cost much, either, and they DO last a lot longer with their tougher filaments.
That is an excellent description. It is time for the tumor to be removed. The EPA must disappear.
#14. If you are trying to say that large, Democrat-run cities are full of crap, you are right.
“Mr. Mayor, we’re gonna need more larger waste treatment plants, esp. if more liberals move in”.
Thanks for the quick lesson on Fluids to Solid ratios for their movement through the treatment process. I used to be in the plumbing supply business and the early low water-use toilets hardly worked at all. They are a lot better now due to a higher water pressure flush but in low water pressure areas, I can see that they won’t work as well as the old ones (I have a great one in my house. It’s been there over 40 years or more. We call it “Old Faithful” and “Old FlushMore”.
LED’s are far better than either the incandescent or fluorescent. LED’s last at least 15 years based on current driver module technology which is changing faster than hard drive and memory capacities. The LED’s themselves last far longer. But think of not having to change any bulb or component for 15 years.
The fluorescent thing was just a payoff to some manufacturer who had skin in the pockets of Congress and one of the worst was Mark Kirk who is now gone from power. They knew the LED lighting thing was coming and had to get their pockets filled before the LED tidal wave started.
I do work in the LED industry and it is impossible to keep ahead of product design with all of the advances in component technology constantly rushing at us.
Go to a farm store.
They usually have ‘replacement’ nozzles for the ‘broken’ ones on the new gas containers.
Funny how the left rails about some of his choices and the “concern trolls” rail about others. He has earned our trust and we should sneer at the “concern trolls” as much as we do at the leftists.
Yup; I’ve switched to LED as the price came down to something reasonable.
I had 4’ fluorescent fixtures in the barn; but they REALLY suck in cold weather. So I installed 16 holders for 65 watt flood lights (real ones ;^) before the cost of LEDs dropped so much.
As the old bulbs die, they are being replaced with $2 LED equivalents.
The EPA has important work to do. Sadly, however, they have failed to do it. Morphing themselves into a police state force instead of a research and science based resource to help the nation maximize its natural resources in a responsible way. No one wants unregulated strip mining. but, we can’t kill off a million acres of farmland because some nasty fly breed can’t handle the fertilizers.
Get back to work, EPA - on the Nation’s business.
They've sure taken over car lighting!
