Could have been worse.
Next time they could get Vanilla Fudge back together.
Yes and Yes. The whole movie was great.
Years ago I bought a CD containing patriotic songs. The first song is the full version of the Star Spangled Banner sung by Sandi Patti and it is fantastic.
Didn’t like it. She made it all about herself, and I can’t stand it when performers do that.
Ray Charles singing “America the Beautiful”...fantastic.
The crowd got treated to a fine performance by another American Treasure, Miss Aretha Franklin. There was nothing wrong with it. Too bad so many brain-dead football-freaks have a tin ear.

I walked through the room a couple of times while she was singing and I had two initial reactions:
1. The game will be delayed by about 15 min due to the national anthem,
2. The singer is trying to pretend she’s Aretha Franklin.
I didn’t realize it actually was Aretha - glad she’s still singing, although at least for one song it seemed she was slowing down a bit in her old age.
Just sing the fourth verse. That’s the one for me.
