Top Donald Trump aide Kellyanne Conway said she is receiving a deluge of comments about the possibility of Mitt Romney being selected as secretary of State.

"Receiving deluge of social media & private comms re: Romney," Conway said, linking to a story about Trump loyalists who are unhappy with the possibility.

She also stressed loyalty as a key trait for a secretary of State in a follow-up tweet.

>>Who should he pick? There’s problems with everyone of these guys: Bolton, Rudy, Romney, Corker
************************************************************
Good question. Old geezers, globalists, no good.

If there is a drought of really good, qualified candidates, I hope he gives serious consideration to the younger generation of conservatives, for a fresh new start.

I know Stephen Miller was Senator Sessions aide “on loan” to DJT during the campaign. He did an excellent job and seemed to have his finger on the pulse of what was needed to be expressed. He’s “just an aide”, I know, and hardly experience enough to be SOS, nevertheless he may well do a great job representing President Trump. We only know about him with what we saw and heard at the rallies. DJT and Jeff Sessions would know more about Miller’s skill set. Who knows? Just a thought and a look toward the future.

I can’t stand Romney, but all this seems too preliminary now that it appears the left is committed to trying to steal the election. My prayers are that DT is still our President come January.

What? The GOP wouldn’t be crazy enough to try to defeat a sitting President for nomination would they?

Amen. IMO, she has tremendous influence on DJT. Hopefully, the base has made its voice heard and he will listen to reason.

I vote for Bolton.

Romney is untrustworthy,

I think Rudy doesn’t really want it, and wouldn’t enjoy it.

Bolton is well schooled in foreign affairs, and I think he would take it seriously, and do a great job.

Romney has what experience to bring to the table?

Well he was able to run rough shod over the Boy Scouts and ban them from helping fix the Olympics, that showed how powerful he was when dealing dealing with an enemy.

I can easily envision Mitt publically appearing to follow Trumps wishes as SoS, while quietly undermining Trumps foreign policy agenda in his meetings with foreign leaders. When confronted by Trump, he will lie and say negotiations fell apart.

Miit is a snake. Trump knows that Mitt is a snake. If Trump wants to throw a bone to GOPe, then choose a less backstabbing option, and not for possibly THE most important cabinet position.

That’s why I’m suggesting Rick Perry, Huck or Newt (Haven’t heard anyone mention any of them so I guess they aren’t “in the running”) but who knows

Newt, Perry and Huck are all good men, if occasionally misguided. I hold out for someone even more appropriate to the job of SoS, but I could live with any of the three. I believe they would make every effort to fulfill Trumps policy wishes.

Romney makes me cry. :( in a bad way. He is a disgrace not only to the Republican party, but to America. Never voted for him and he proved me right.

Anyone that was that hell-bent on gambling our country’s future generations down the drain in his attempts to destroy Trump has no business negotiating on our behalf against our enemies on foreign soil. What he said about Trump, he was saying ABOUT all Trump’s supporters as well.

NeverEverEverRomney.

We know PLENTY enough about Romney to know he is a snake.

It was his cohort who was behind trying to jeopardize Sarah Palin too after 2008. Among the many reasons she never endorsed him until the day before the 2012 election saying she was voting for him. (Over Obama)

I never voted for him and I am grateful we noww have Trump.

Oh, good!!! I understand Nikki Haley, and the statements about not “personally” going after Hitlery [at this time] and it is brilliant. But Romney/puke/gag?

Thank you so much for your work, and lettus us on FR get a clue about what’s happening.

I think he should take one of the long term professional ambassadors that has taken a lot of the crappy jobs in the low end countries - someone who has done the workman’s job in state relegated to the worst locations because he/she still faifthfully represented the States first. I can’t believe that there is absolutely no one in State that doesn’t meet that criteria. If there really isn’t then grab a crusty intel/defense type who knows how to run a large command and give them state.

Counted votes are meaningless. I could count 100x more Hillary or 100x more Trump votes. I could count and make Sanders President Elect. Meaningless propaganda.

How many votes were cast? Nobody knows.

Democrats lie and defraud, ever since slavery, and they NEVER apologize, never repent, they just stack more lies on top.
