Reddit CEO Steve Huffman has confessed to modifying the posts of some users on the most visible Donald Trump-supporting "subreddit" community after they repeatedly slung verbal abuse in his direction.
The story begins earlier this week, when The New York Times published a report on Comet Ping Pong, a Washington DC pizza place that a false news item on social media had pegged as the center of a child-abuse ring run by Hillary Clinton and Democratic National Committee chair John Podesta, despite a lack of any evidence.
Following that report, Reddit took steps to shut down the "r/Pizzagate" subreddit community, which had the stated goal of proving the existence of a conspiracy centering on Comet Ping Pong. "We don’t want witchhunts on our site," says the warning that replaced the Pizzagate page on Reddit.

I just got what turned out to be professional criminal squatters next door. They had us fooled, acted like there was a lease. But there was a constant troop of vagabonds going through.
Afte two months, the place finally got evicted Nov 8 and it has taken two huge dump containers to take out the assorted trash. Needles, drugs and evidence of shooting porn. I also have the sickening feeling there was child porn.
Problem is I’ve had to act as Junior Dick Tracy. My life has been threatened.
So yes, the police are overwhelmed and no one cares.
This is really, really bad. Changing the content of folks posts without their knowledge.

WAPO has already used a doctored by u/spez quote in an article. This really was a stupid move by him. The implications of his ability to falsify and manipulate anything if he so pleases is pretty frightening.
It is. The companies running it being the worst sewage mongers. Watch for the migration to GAB, 4chan, and “old school” sites like FR.
Modifying in this case appears to be changing the content of posts. Not good.
Spez really screwed up here. The CEO of a company going in and editing people’s posts? Not good. The Trump forum has about 300k people now.
I’m a new Gab user. It looks good so far.
We’re getting a lot of these confessions from media that were promised a seat at Hillary’s table and are suddenly stuck outside and a very cold winter is rolling in.
Same here - wish they had a phone app.
This undermines all of Reddit. This makes all past posts inadmissible as evidence and makes people question the legitimacy of future posts.
Immediately reminded of stonetear, perhaps this was a way to discredit any Reddit posts made by that account. Reddit is garbage, at least for political discussion.
Gab is a free speech website that was created in response to political censorship at the big social media websites. The rules are very minimal but they allow the user a lot of filtering. Or very little. Or none. Sorta like twitter combined with reddit. It seems more genteel than you would expect.
So, if there was no there there, yahoo wouldn’t have bothered reporting on it and tried to frame this as a false story. The pressure is on to drop this investigation. The globalists are very worried.
The Donald has some interesting discussion and I’ve enjoyed the positivity, energy and dedication to the cause. I lurk there now and again. I obviously prefer FR, but they have a lot of good people.
The youngsters over there are a good bunch. Y’all could invite them over. Just sayin.

JR could modify a post here and have me (or anyone else) appear to be threatening the life of the president. But he would never do that...which is why we’re here.
That is some VERY SICK STUFF at Reddit.
I suppose I was mostly referencing r/politics and ilk as garbage, especially when Correct the Record laid waste with the downvote button and anti-Trump spam. The_Donald, when I found it early this year, convinced me Trump would win — not by anything they said, rather, the energy and dedication as you noted.
I would love to see more centipedes here.
Wrong narrative, if that were so you would not have married pedophiles. They just gravitate because it puts them in a position where they can cloak their evilness with the authority of Christ.
