Tommy Hilfiger said 'any designer should be proud' to dress Melania Trump after another designer ruled out ever working with the incoming First Lady on political grounds.
The 65-year-old American designer praised Melania, 46, as 'a very beautiful woman' and said her step-daughter Ivanka, 35, is 'beautiful and smart'.
Speaking at the Angel Ball at Cipriani Wall Street in New York on Monday, he told Women's Wear Daily: 'I don't think people should become political about it.'

Melania is the most beautiful first lady I can remember seeing!
The difference between Melania’s appearance and that of the current first lady is stark!
Melania also seems to be a genuinely pleasant and caring person...and very smart as well!
DJT is a lucky man!
That is setting the bar pretty low.

Hilfiger was born in Elmira, NY. That’s in Chemung County, one of Upstate’s mostly red bits. Haven’t bought any Hilfiger. I’ll have to remedy that...
If anyone women (I guess men too) wants to be “entertained” take a look at Hilfiger’s video of Rafa Nadal wearing Hifiger underwear........(Rafa, IMO the greatest tennis player of all time)
He's not a homo. In fact, he and his wife have an autistic daughter and they both sit on the board of directors of the organization "Autism Speaks"......
I would assume that all those designers who say they would not cater to Mrs. Trump are designers who Mrs. Trump doesn’t do business with currently, which makes it doubtful that she is going to switch and start buying them, regardless of what they said. So they’re probably safe from any imminent “crisis of conscience”.
Wow big apology to him. I had no idea a straight man could be a fashion designer.
You and me both.......LOL!
