A historian has discovered a royal decree issued to Donald Trump’s grandfather ordering him to leave Germany and never come back.
Friedrich Trump, a German, was issued with the document in February 1905, and ordered to leave the kingdom of Bavaria within eight weeks as punishment for having failed to do mandatory military service and failing to give authorities notice of his departure to the US when he first emigrated in 1885.

However, he failed to de-register from his homeland and had not carried out his military service, which is why the authorities rejected his attempt at repatriation.”
The decree orders the “American citizen and pensioner Friedrich Trump” to leave the area “at the very latest on 1 May ... or else expect to be deported”. Bild called the archive find an “unspectacular piece of paper”, that had nevertheless “changed world history”.
Trump was born in Kallstadt, now in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, in 1869. He emigrated to the US aged 16 initially to escape poverty, attracted by the gold rush.

Guardian is not trustworthy, and this article is slanted. From what I’ve read, Trump’s grandfather ran a hotel, not a brothel per se. Did bad things happen there—maybe, but I’m reluctant to take the word of this rag without more proof.

I never heard the name, but I did hear back in the 90s that it was some mob guy from Chicago who vacationed down there, and I also read the part about him taking care of little Billy.
When I was a kid I knew someone born in 1869--the mother of a friend of my grandmother. We were at their house the day she celebrated her 90th birthday, which was also my sister's second birthday (which is why I know her date of birth).

Supposedly there is a picture of him in a win picture with one of his horses in the racing office at Thistledown, the old timers say he looks just like Bill. Next time I’m there I will look for it and get a picture. There’s hundreds of win picture to look through but I will try.
I guess that disqualifies Trump from the presidency.

That’s not my understanding. My recollection is that Billy Blythe died a year or two after his return from WW2. He was a traveling salesman and was killed in a car wreck in Kansas or Oklahoma or someplace like that. Bill Jr. was just a baby. He had been born 6 months after Billy Sr. got back from the war. A little embarassing for old Virginia.
I’d guess, Trump has no intention of paying a visit to the land of Frau Merkel anytime soon anyways . . .

That history regarding Billy’s father is probably why he felt no problem changing his name to his step-father’s.
A neighbor/friend of mine went to school with Billy. When asked what Clinton was like in school, his reply was, “can’t trust him now, couldn’t trust him then!” WJC was a born liar. My friend said that Billy was not raised in poverty as he wanted all to believe. His s/father had a car dealership and they lived on the “right side of the tracks.” Another note, my friend Bob was put ahead in school, Billy stayed with his class. Bob retired as a Colonel in the US Army. (Full Bird that is) Billy was a draft dodger who lied to his ROTC detachment commander to avoid service to his country.
The Clintons have always been about serving themselves and no one else.
Blythe was married three times. The end of his second marriage was after the beginning of his marriage to Bill Clinton's mother.
