They stood in line at Trump Tower, sometimes up to half an hour, handing over their cash for mementos of the president-elect: mini, gold-wrapped chocolate bricks stamped Trump. Trump monogrammed sweaters, towels and glassware. Trump cologne.
I bought it for my two sons, said Shanon Loggins, 47, of Lufkin, Tex., showing off a golden shopping bag embossed with the Trump crest that carried two bottles of Success by Trump, a fragrance for men. They need to be successful, she explained.
Business is good for Donald J. Trump. People are flocking to his Midtown Manhattan skyscraper, dining in his restaurants and buying his wares. Reporters are fastidiously chronicling the comings and goings of his transition team, his self-branded properties providing the backdrop for television live shots.
Mr. Trump has taken the staid task of preparing to assume the presidency and turned it into an exercise in conspicuous self-promotion and carefully choreographed branding.

There is no specific law prohibiting public officeholders from financially beneficial self-promotion, what Mr. Trump is doing is not illegal.
Trump is making use of his vast real estate holdings and they are jealous with envy. They accuse him of exploiting his high profile and stature of the office to conduct ‘a promotional tour for the Trump Organization.’
He has picked these properties to conduct the official transition: Trump Tower (Manhattan skyscraper where he lives and works complete with Trump-themed eateries and boutiques); Mar-a-Lago, his lavish private Palm Beach club for Thanksgiving meetings; and the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.
Trump states the Bedminster Trump National Golf Club resembles 10 Downing Street in London and that especially irks the lefties.

“But as the president-elect makes use of his vast real estate holdings, he is also raising questions about whether he is exploiting the high profile and stature of the office to conduct what could be seen as a promotional tour for the Trump Organization.”
The Slimes was nowhere to be found when Hillary Clinton used the Secretary of State office to sell her husband’s speeches and launder bribes through his fake charity, but now they’re concerned about people walking in off the street and buying neckties and cologne. What a joke, their fake news is pathetic.
So typical. We fly a flag to remind ourselves of our nation and what it stands for. But Barry flies a gazillion flags and for what? It’s part of the ongoing nihilism of his party and his presidency. America stands up and celebrates DIVERSITY! That’s worth a gazillion flags, don’t you think?
It really burns them.
The part about asking nationality prior to selling a “MAGA” hat is rather stringent.
Back in 2008, I located a muslims for obama website selling O merchandize with his logo specifically marketed overseas to foreigners. They changed the colors to pinks, yellows and browns from the red, white, & blue.
It was likely just a front to bring in millions of bucks to the campaign and the campaign stuff was never mailed.
