Jon Voight helped dozens of children to have a Thanksgiving dinner after the actor purchased turkeys for a complete stranger while in line at a Kentucky Walmart on Friday. According to ABC News, the Oscar-winning actor was in line at the grocery store in Louisville when he noticed that the woman ahead of him, Sydney Gholston, was getting ready to purchase six whole turkeys ahead of the holiday this week.
I was helping the lady scan the turkeys and the man behind me said, You must have a big family. Thats an awful lot of turkeys,' Gholston told ABC News. I said, I work at the Home of the Innocents.'
Gholston who works as the director of food and nutritional services at the nonprofit organization, which provides care to at-risk children and to children who have been victims of abuse said she chatted with Voight for a little while before the actor offered to purchase all six turkeys for her.

He was in Philly a few weeks before the election with radio hosts like Prager and Gallagher.
Wasn’t that crazy about it when I first watched it. An obvious Dem propaganda bit (notice Al Franken).
But once you get past that horrendous music in the opening scenes (inside the Humvee) it is really an amazing movie. They accidentally foreshadowed Obama as the Manchurian Candidate.
And Meryl Streep is doing Hillary Clinton -— whether or not she realized it at the time.
I’ve watched it over a dozen times. Lots of interesting tidbits thrown into the movie unreferenced by the actors.
If he ran for political office in my neck of
the woods I’d Voight for Jon.
Double amen to them.
Denzel another one who like Voight and Eastwood should be considered for something by Trump. I’d love Denzel as press secretary.
Would love to know what you observed. I doubt I will watch it again soon....so fill me in.
I think the original with Sinatra and Lansbury was awesome, too.
How awesome is it that he didn't go to Target?!

I ‘knew’ someone that went to Dental School with him.
Robert Woods?
Is that a combination of Robert Davi and James Woods?
.....two good conservative men and fine actors.
I assume that was for Midnight Cowboy, with Dustin Hoffman, one outstanding movie.
Big deal..
Now if he bought her a Chrysler LaBaron I’d be impressed!
He showed up at a Hannity Freedom Concert here in San Diego and did a great talk.
That was really good.
Ricardo was in a 50s noir movie called Mystery Street that I found on TCM a few years back.
The full movie used to be out there but here is a piece:

Would love to see a commission concerning the cleaning up of the disgusting Hollywood culture. As much as....or more than anything else... the garbage spewed out from Hollywood has degraded our values and culture.
Jon and Clint would do a good job of at least addressing the subject and encouraging the movie makers to make more life-affirming and positive films. The language, violence and abnormal sexual depictions have taken a terrible toll on the culture.

That was the most amazing part of the story! Not only was he actually out shopping for himself, rather than sending an assistant, he chose WalMart!
Plus, I bought his 89 LeBaron convertible!!
It caught on fire, though.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Sounds like an interesting story, Why don’t you tell us the details?
