One of President-elect Donald Trump's potential cabinet picks showed photographers more than he intended over the weekend, revealing part of an aggressive plan to change the Department of Homeland Security's approach to combating illegal immigration.
When the two posed for pictures beforehand, however, Kobach was clutching his proposal – and photographs captured the parts that his left hand didn't obscure.
They included uncompromising approaches to deportations, providing for the 'rapid build' of the wall that Candidate Trump promised for America's southern border – 1,989 miles of it – and part of a plan that appears targeted at making sure illegal immigrants can't vote in national elections.

Another example of the media's total ignorance of what is legal/illegal!
Not only is illegal entry already a federal criminal offense (See Post-45)
But voting in a national election is also a federal criminal offense not only for illegal aliens - but also for legal immigrants. Only US Citizens can legally vote in US elections.
Not only that, but the news media has given away information on how far away they can photograph and still discern what documents say in the hands of a Trump administration member.

My first thought was, “Didn’t this guy ever hear of a briefcase?”
But now, I believe that the President-Elect WANTED his proposed DHS director to have everyone see part of what’s coming, especially Mexico.

they can have the steel industry make 60 foot tall sheet piling, and then drive it 20 feet deep. this would discourage digging under it and climbing 40 feet over it.

There is a line between information gathering and espionage, and it does make some people uncomfortable. I sometimes get hired to collect information, I’ve had some training, so I’ve been shown where the line is. In some cases where the broad fuzzy grey line is.
A Russian sitting in a Federal Depositary Library copying out US wheat production figures (by county) is not espionage, but for me to collect similar information in China is.
The press definitely knows the value of what to photograph. In one of the presidential debates it looked like Kerry got out a PDA, which was against the rules, and opened it and turned it on. For the rest of the debate the cameras NEVER showed the top of his lectern, but zoomed in on the notes Bush was taking.
I think you have the gist of it. Also notice the little points about voter registration below his cuff. This also telegraphs to supporters that Trump is sticking with the program...
That’s an idea. Nice thing about Trump is he knows construction. When he builds th Wall it will be built right (and under budget and ahead of schedule)...
Yes, it was done on purpose. What I thought when I read the article. Nothing is done by chance and it was brilliantly done. How else would the news gone out? If given the press would have skipped over it or twisted it completely. You know he would have had it in his briefcase other wise. Donald is always several steps ahead.

Homeland security requires security like not showing off your plans before you execute them.
