Trump is smart. Bet the reason he told them that it WAS off the record was precisely because he knew it would be "leaked" ... which is exactly what he wanted.
Watching CBS on election night, after it was obvious Trump was going to win, somehow they found satisfaction that the very media he targeted was responsible for accurately calling his wins/losses. They don’t even know how stupid they sound.
