President-elect Donald Trump exploded at media bigs in an off-the-record Trump Tower powow on Monday, sources told The Post.
It was like a fing firing squad, said one source.
Trump started with Jeff Zucker and said I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed .
The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down, the source added.
A second source confirmed the encounter.
The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks , the source said.
Trump kept saying, Were in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong. He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was network of liars.
Trump didnt say Katy Tur by name, but talked about an NBC female correspondent who got it wrong, then he referred to a horrible network correspondent who cried when Hillary lost who hosted a debate which was Martha Raddatz who was also in the room.

I read the Post daily so I can pretty much take its pulse.
Trump did say he would send them all back, the first time he included this in a speech. I think since then he has realized you can’t sent true refugees back, not if you don’t want to be perceived as heartless. He has changed it to vetting.
I feel confident that the right measures will be taken
Causing an instant sanctimony deficit in TV fare.
...Pretty please.
Who said complain? He was setting the ground rules. Probably letting them know that their unprofessional sensationalism is creating a bad and dangerous environment. Probably said ‘my wife better not be disrespected either’.
There was nothing childish or petulant about this. It is a well deserved settling of scores. This would only offend delicate snowflakes. I also think Trump is Andrew Jackson to a tee.
That video was hilarious. Thanks for posting!
I don't think that was all he did. He has also served notice that they will be excluded from his press conferences if they continue to lie.
This is quite serious business, since it is media distortion that has caused all the hate among those who didn't vote for him. They are endangering everyone, Trump and all associated with him, and have to be stopped. Short of making rioting a more serious felony, it was the best we can hope for right now.
You can use the law, but not to directly force content. Some things we should be pushing:
-Cable freedom: allowing folks to pay only for the channels they want to subscribe to
- Using antitrust laws to break up the media conglomerates.
- Defund PBS.
- Make FCC TV and radio licenses for a limited time and resell them or lottery them off.
- Allow digital posting of legal notices instead of requiring physical publication. Sort of like how they do with tenders.
I’ve been u see the assumption for many months that he said ‘extreme vetting’ for all countries. And if someone comes from a country which can not be vetted properly or countries that sponsor terrorism, they will not come in. This has been said for many months and also on his campaign site
For this thread, you win the turd in the punchbowl bowl award.
Because they KNOW that Trump has the TRUTH
Either from memory, an assistant taking notes or a audio /video recording.
maybe an assistant sitting there...serving coffee and cake while operating a periscope device.....then the video / audio ...or just a few short clips gets leaked,...
Remember the leaked audio tape from 20 years ago that had Trump imitating a personal assistant...
(If you want to see how he does it using the Thatch Weave...ping me)
Notice it was only a short time later that Trump put out a 2.5 minute video on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube updating America on his policy plans for the first 100 days. I think it was a not too subtle reminder to the chastised media that he can, and will go around them. Why he can even win the Presidency this way lol.
Yes, but that was directed at a traveling press pool back in the cheap seats. This is face to face with the head honchos in an enclosed space. I don't buy it that it went down this way, although I don't doubt there was acrimony.
That was great! Lol
I would love it if he announced plans to form a new network that he will be available to 24 hours a day. An NPR for the majority.
WINNING!
Combined PING! and DANG!
Journalist Snowflakes.
Screw them all.
