Anti-Trump secessionists filed formal paperwork Monday launching their petition drive aimed at separating California from the union by first putting the issue before voters on the 2018 ballot.

A petition submitted by the Yes California Independence Campaign calls for repealing language in the state constitution that describes California as an “inseparable part” of the nation and holding a vote on independence on March 13, 2019.

I’m surprised that you can spell “unionist”.

Interesting precedent they would set. The next Democrat president might see 35 states taking off.

California secession must be followed immediately by stringent border controls. Those who would keep their American Citizen status should be vetted then given a week to leave Cali then boom shut down the border.

Do you really want to shed blood to keep CA in the Union? Really? So a state should stay in the Union under the threat of invasion? Where is the freedom there?

Take all the illegals and muzzies the Marxist/Muslim has let in with you when you go.

Today on Drudge; ‘Borders ordered left open.
1500 illegal aliens invaders per day pouring over border!’

I am surprised how militant you are. So what would the butcher bill have to be to satisfy you? A million? Being a split tail your butt would be safe.

Think about this; these are the same people who want an open border with Mexico and all 120 million Mexicans should be allowed vote

Maybe they don't really want that -- and that's why they won't secede.

When it comes to politics, people love to strike poses, but they rely on their opponents to prevent what you might think they want from ever happening.

Same thing in Arizona. Tucson loves to slam Phoenix, but at heart they recognize that it's all for show.

What about the kooks that want to go there? We need a brief time for people to transfer. It would work out.

There is no “right” to secede but a mutually satisfactory arrangement is possible if the remaining portion of the country simply declines to stop the secession. It has not been decided yet that the Union is bound to prevent a secession. Lincoln established that the Union can and may prevent a secession, not that it has to.

Lack of accountability to anyone including themselves is a requirement for being an idealistic liberal as well as a scrabbling power hungry liberal.

First California's not going to secede.

Secondly, we have rule of law. State governments can't simply sever ties with the rest of the country. Whatever happens has to go through Congress and the courts.

Otherwise, it's revolution and war.

They can secede but Uncle Sam can keep the bases in that foreign country. Look at Guantanamo. That is at least partially a precedent.

We learned nothing if your are an example. What is ludicrous is 1. Saying that the USA would send in troops if CA seceded. That ain't happening. 2. CA is incapable of forming their own country. They are.

Do you big talking unionists really think some snow flake from NY is going to die because CA annexed Yosemite Park?

Had all the legitimate votes been counted and all the illegal votes been excised then Trump would have had an overwhelming majority. 180k Republican absentee votes were shredded in Broward County FL when the shredders got caught and unknown number of Democrat votes were fabricated using the names from the shredded votes. That is just one county. We have 4 counties with large cities here in FL that have well earned reputations for the same thing. St Lucie County is the county with, I think, 157% turnout of its registered voters 4 years ago. And thes is FLORIDA, not Chicago or California or any big northeastern Democrat ruled city.
