President Obama told Peruvians Sunday night that America has often "fallen short of our ideals" of democracy, rule of law, a free press, an independent judiciary, free markets, and a social welfare system to help the disadvantaged.
and there have been times when we have not observed some of the norms as well as we should and have been accused of hypocrisy here in Latin America. There have been times when countries have felt disrespected and on occasion have had cause for that. And there were teams when we haven't observed the values in our own country and have fallen short of our ideals,

Load of crap. I don't recall this and I was around in the 90's

It is becoming entertaining now
Only two more months... only two more months.
He so full of sh## his mother can taste it
Communists had to build fences to enclose the souls of their concentration camp victims.
And yet everyone wants to come to America, everyone wants American products and inside every person is the possibility to be an American.
Actually this will continue well after two months and the media will treat him with the same importance as Trump. Probably more.
democracy
not supported by the Constitution
, rule of law, a free press, an independent judiciary, free markets,
and a social welfare system to help the disadvantaged
the last not supported by the Constitution.
.... Well Mr. Prez with a Fez .... At least in the past we were trying to live up to the American Ideals. After All I'm pretty sure none of us are perfect ..... But, unlike our current Administration, at least in the past we haven't purposefully tried to destroy and ignore the nation's Foundational principles and Ideals.
This political dork really gets his nuts off bad-mouthing the US.
US liberals are what Central and South America inhabitants can’t stand about the US.
Can we name ONE country whose leader has come to America to complain about or apologize for its shortfalls?
I watched the entire Obama show live - it was actually pathetic. He clearly understands his entire presidency was resoundedly rejected on Nov 8th and will quickly be undone starting Jan 20th. Obama sounded bitter
There have been times when Obama was elected president.
I really dislike hearing we are a Democracy.
I usually tell someone to say The Pledge of Allegiance or refer them to Article 4, section 4 of the Constitution: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.
Then I try to strike up a conversation about being invaded illegally and unlawfully, with the consent of the Federal Government, in violation of its duty and burdening the states they are charged to protect with supporting the invasion financially
Yep, elected ibama twice.
I don’t think there will be anymore Affirmative Action Presidents for a while....
The lying, America-hating, hypocrite rides again.
Ibama, Uhbama, NotionBama, etc...
Watching Westworld now.
I hope one of the hosts goes Medieval again...
Last week was awesome...
Obama has always fallen short of any kind of ideal. Even the guy from Turkey is disappointed in him.
