Fashion Designers Are Boycotting Melania Trump. Shouldn't Bakers and Florists Have the Same Right?

"As one who celebrates and strives for diversity, individual freedom, and respect for all lifestyles, I will not participate in dressing or associating in any way with the next First Lady," wrote fashion designer Sophie Theallet in an open letter this week.

People magazine reports Theallet, who has designed and donated clothes for outgoing First Lady Michelle Obama numerous times over the last eight years, may not be alone: "A source tells People, 'This has already been going on for months. Designers wouldn't lend to Melania, Ivanka or Tiffany, so they either bought the items themselves or wore Ivanka's brand. ... There was a lot of shopping their own closets.'"

Personally, I applaud Theallet's design to disassociate herself with the next occupant of the White House. I see Donald Trump as a shameful human being with few redeeming qualities as a leader and even fewer as a person, and if I were a business owner, I too would decline to serve his administration.

Or did she say those curtains would make a nice outfit, a la Scarlett?

She very often has such a wide legged stance.

To be kind, did she have hip or leg problems as a child?

I think the designer pranked the moocher with that toilet tank dress.

“Hey, Mochelle, I was just kidding. You weren’t supposed to actually wear it.”

So you are blind and a poor judge of character.

Ok, now I know to automatically disregard anything in the future I might see with your name on it.

Thank you for informing me of this Mz Slade.

Goodbye.

They’re just siding with the dresser for Michelle Obama, who is upset, I guess, because she has not been asked to dress Malania.

So now, as usual, all the ultra LEFT has decided they won’t either.

FINE .. Like I said the other day; Malania has enough well-known designers who will be wanting her to wear their stuff, that it won’t matter. As for Malania, I think she’s her own person; smart; able to decide for herself what she will wear.

The LEFT is just having another hyper-ventilating FIT .. because they can’t be in the spotlight.

Sheeeeeesh! These people are getting tiresome .. and Trump isn’t even in the WH yet.

"If big foot is wearing them, they have to be curtains."

Not everyone can wear clothes designed by Home Depot

No kidding, I just can’t stop laughing...to think she was allowed outside to be seen in public looking like she had helped herself to the contents of a Salvation Army collection bin...

a scarf with a belt - = classy - not

(not to mention the garbage bag the designer's wearing. And someone should tell that model that, these days, it;s okay for models to eat)

Whoa! That looks like something Sanford and Son’s “Aunt Esther” would have worn back in the 1970s.

My open response to this idiot: No one gives a flying f*** about what you do or what you will not do. There will be 100 others, at least some probably more talented, who will jump at the opportunity for this task of earth-shattering importance that will surely bring about the betterment of Mankind, namely, that of sewing clothes.

I still want to know how the left is selling this BS about “diversity, individual freedom, and respect for all lifestyles”.

If by diversity, I suppose if they mean “American citizens” vs. “illegal alien criminals” (and by definition, they are all “criminals”), I suppose that he isn’t in favor of this kind of diversity.

If by “individual freedom”, I’m thinking he is not in favor of having to “lose” some fellow citizens belonging to long-established religions in the US to others who want to enslave and/or kill them after taking their foolishly-given support.

If by “respect for all lifestyles”, he probably isn’t very respectful of lifestyles that involve gang-banging and shooting up neighborhoods at 2:00 in the morning, occasionally taking out the random citizen sleeping in their frame house thinking that they were going to work the next morning for their family in their customary, old-fashioned, boring and dreary lifestyle.

So, in short, maybe he won’t be that all that tolerant or respectful.

Good.

If that woman is a fashion designer then I’m a lion tamer and that poor emaciated model needs a decent steak dinner.
Whatever they are both wearing needs to go back into the charity skip.
