"As one who celebrates and strives for diversity, individual freedom, and respect for all lifestyles, I will not participate in dressing or associating in any way with the next First Lady," wrote fashion designer Sophie Theallet in an open letter this week.
People magazine reports Theallet, who has designed and donated clothes for outgoing First Lady Michelle Obama numerous times over the last eight years, may not be alone: "A source tells People, 'This has already been going on for months. Designers wouldn't lend to Melania, Ivanka or Tiffany, so they either bought the items themselves or wore Ivanka's brand. ... There was a lot of shopping their own closets.'"
Personally, I applaud Theallet's design to disassociate herself with the next occupant of the White House. I see Donald Trump as a shameful human being with few redeeming qualities as a leader and even fewer as a person, and if I were a business owner, I too would decline to serve his administration.

Considering that by all reports Melania Trump never patronized these designers to begin with it’s hard to see how their “boycott” is going to have any effect.
I see a business opportunity....
I’d be going: “Yea, OK, I get it, wedding cake with two dudes on the top. OK. We’ll do it. But, I got to warn you. Every once and a while we drop something in the batter and I just wouldn’t want you to be surprised. Nothing dangerous. But, its a messy kitchen back there what with all of our gay cooks and their condoms flying around everywhere. I’m sure it will be ok, but just to be safe, cut the side of the cake that is away from the crowd.”

So am I to conclude that this “designer’s specialty” is clothing for Government Mules?
Trumps justice dept should go after the courts that so deprived the photographer and Baker of their rights.
It gets their names in the news. hahaha. They would love to dress her but they know she already has her people.
My daughter said Melania would just wear Ivanka’s brand. If I were Melania I would start a new fashion trend with lesser known designers looking for a start, call it #Melaniawear.
You know Trump supporting husbands would like to see their wives looking like her, the ladies would like it too! Think of it, a Conservative “Jackie”
I’m in!
Let them starve...they bought it.
I think this is absolutely hilarious - no one asked this ‘designer’ for anything so how can she refuse something that has never been requested. The designer probably has a losing business and her claim to fame is trying to scam her clients that she has actually been asked for something - what a loser!
All kinds of people are now trying to jump on the Trump Train — this person is hoping to cash in. I hope a lot of people will now reject her designs.
Melania is a very beautiful woman with impeccable taste. I seriously doubt she needs help dressing herself...unlike the Mooch. Jealousy is an ugly emotion and so were most of Mooch’s outfits!
Sew the damn clothes.
Michelle is built like a linebacker and her size 11 feet could do some real damage. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/03/19/26CA6D8500000578-0-image-m-8_1426757384321.jpg
Ball must itch or rearranging the junk

if she’s doing this because she thinks it’s good publicity, I’ve got news for her...Melania wouldn’t be seen dead wearing the sofa cover, or is it the curtains?
If big foot is wearing them, they have to be curtains.
The “fashion designers” dont know how to make dresses without extra room for huge, bulbous, fat derriers.
She’s probaly already got her favorite designer or designers, and wouldn’t gives these losers the time of day anyway.
