A work crew began to dismantle a Confederate monument in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, the mayor said, in the latest move to take down or relocate symbols of the slaveholding Southern Confederacy from the American Civil War.
Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer in a pair of messages on Twitter showed photos of figures that had been removed from the monument.
[snip]Students and staff members at the University of Louisville had said the memorial condoned slavery.

Southron stuff? Are you referring to Southern stuff? What about the Southern way of life connects you to Marxism? A lil confused as to where you're going with that.
Mount Rushmore will make for good target practice if they even attempt it. That’s a national monument. It’s not going anywhere.
They should be relocated to the nearest demoncrat party headquarters or failing that to the nearest Saudi financed mosque.
Anyone that thinks the Civil War was about slavery is an idiot.
A stop toward erasing American history.
The Democrats of the 19th century were the Conservatives of their time. The Republicans were wild eyed liberals. The two parties have switch ideologies. Try to keep up.
That’s what all the leftists and Democrats say.
I wouldn't send any child of mine or in my care to a college or university that finds "re-written" history to suit an agenda fine with them....such institutions are mediocre at best...why spend the money?
Never! Because most of the libtards can’t read or don’t have any courses on real history!!!
What about Stone Mountain?
For those who don’t recognize the event or location of the photograph, it was taken in Afghanistan in 2001 prior to the 9/11 attacks. The event was the destruction of the Buddhas of Bamiyan by the Taliban. Here is a link to their history and an account of their destruction:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhas_of_Bamiyan
By his turban color and beard, the man in the picture is Taliban, probably the commander of the forces who carried out the destruction of this world cultural heritage site.
Whoever he was, I hope he has long since been killed as all such criminals deserve.
Wasn’t there some type of law protecting historic sites? As old as this monument is it should have been protected by such. I remember seeing this beautiful landmark monument many times growing up. Riding in a car as a child I would always try to lean out the window a little to see if I could see the top peak of it. To me, it was an awesome sight. I always regarded it a major part of Kentucky’s history. Like others have said, those who want to deny history do it with only ill intentions. Our historic monuments are rich in art and teachings. It should be illegal to remove ANY historic items -regardless of who likes it or not.
Most counties in the USA which are outside of a major large metro area went 60-70% for Trump. That includes most of the Minnesota counties as well.
People who do not live in large metro areas regardless of state highly favored Donald Trump.
I just looked at the KY SoS site. The state of KY overall went 62% for Trump.
So does the US Capitol. More than two, in fact. They were there before there were any fascists or fascism.
Well, they could give Louisville to IN, but I don’t the Hoosiers want her.
Confederate memorial has been taken down so therefore the world has now been made right, there exists no more problems. Utopia has captured us.
You do not understand the basics of US history. The Republican party that replaced the Whigs were considered liberal at best and, because it had wild eyed abolitionists in its midst, many thought the party was evil.
dhimmicrats have always been dhimmicrats.
You are a cuck.
