The United Nations on Friday approved an Israeli-sponsored resolution focusing on international innovation and development.
The resolution, entitled "Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development," passed with 123 countries supporting it, 30 countries opposing, and eight abstaining, according to a statement from Israels UN mission.
After months of diplomatic efforts, Israel's Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon succeeded in passing the resolution by working country by country to convince it of the importance of the law, notwithstanding the fierce opposition from the Arab bloc to all Israeli resolutions.
The Arab member-states opposed the resolution, despite the fact that many elements of the decision will positively influence countries around the world, including many countries in the Middle East.
"This resolution is further proof of the important contributions that Israel makes to the world as a leader in innovation and entrepreneurship," said Ambassador Danon.
"The hypocritical opposition by the Arab bloc did not succeed. Every day, more and more countries are showing interest in Israel's success. We are proud to cooperate with countries around the world and to share knowledge and know-how as we work together to build a better world," he added.

Nice report. Thanks for presenting it to us.
Arabs shouldn’t worry about anyone opposing them because they’re their own worst enemies. They would refuse a glass of pure cold water on a hot day if it’s an Israeli offering it.
So what’s the actual content of the resolution? Anytime I hear “sustainable development” I’m wary.
Groucho Marx - I’m Against It. Never heard that song. It sure flies in the face of big government.
No idea. I even searched for the text, and they only have resolutions published for the 70th General Assembly (2015) and prior. Probably some international frabajaba or other about being in favor of entrepreneurship and innovation, is my guess. It’s only remarkable that the Arab states automatically oppose anything by Israel.
Thanks. Given that the Arabs have not innovated anything useful in the last dozen or so centuries, they are staying true to their dirty colors. How it must irk them that the small nation of Israel is so far ahead of them in every way.
I tried to read it, but after a few minutes, all I could see was “FRABAJABABAFRABAJABFRABAFRABAJABA,” and I was reminded of Harry Kishka worshippers at an airport banging on their drums. What incestuous gibberish.
American tax dollars at work!
It irks them that everyone is ahead of them in every way, and they produce the sticky black stuff that helps keep them all ahead. Consequently, they are reactionary, yearning for the good old days of 1798, when they had the edge and believed they were invincible, before Napoleon came along and proved them wrong.
Thanks - as I suspected, the usual drivel.
