I will never trust anybody in Washington who supported a foreign policy in the early 2000s that involved the U.S. spending hundreds of billions of dollars and pissing away thousands of American lives to topple the Ba'athist government in Iraq and replace it with an unstable mess that is even worse off today than it was before we invaded.

Your numbers are really light. Last I heard the expected cost was a few years ago, Before the resurgence, ISIS and all that happened in Syria & Libya. It was $5T for Iraq and $3T for Afghanistan. This counts debt interest and the long term care for our injured soldiers. Worth it? Hell NO!!!!
The people who came up with the false justifications for the Iraq war should be in prison. Or sentenced to care for disabled vets for the rest of their lives.
