I take the election of Donald Trump personally not just because my candidate, Hillary Clinton, lost. I take this election personally not because Clinton was a dear friend, a classmate at Yale Law School. I take this election personally not just because it feels like the last best chance for someone of my generation who fought the wars of Second Wave feminism to break that final glass ceiling in national politics. I take this election personally because of how Trump won and what it legitimized. He won despite comments demeaning women in general, and Clinton in particular. He won after demonizing Muslims, immigrants, and black people. This is just talk, some may say not what he really felt. Or better yet, others will dismiss this as being politically correct, code for dont take it seriously.

I can still hear Gloria Steinem screaming to a rally: “No more alimony! Let’s hear it again: No more alimony!”
Their point was, You make it on your own.
Second wave of feminism my foot.
“When Hillary called Trump supporters deplorable, she was also calling, women and minorities that supported Trump names as well. These people need to wake up...”
That was the REAL HILLARY, the one who hates the working class of America and everyone is beneath her standing.
Good news for her. Trump’s campaign manager crashed the glass ceiling as the first female campaign manager to get her candidate elected POTUS. And that impeached perjurer who lost his law license and who allegedly raped Juanita will not be in the White House
That and a stiff dose of animal tranquilizers.
Don’t feel bad. A lot of women slept through it as well.
When you haters gave us nothing but vitriolic hatred for 8 years during Bush’s presidency, when you gloated when Obama the Commie won, when the Republicans started talking about working together and Obammie the Commie said, “I won,” when you gloated for 8 years, when Obamie the Commie literally — LITERALLY — gave us the finger by scratching his cheek with his middle finger when talking about Republicans, when Pelosi marched through the mall with the gavel amid throngs protesting the ACA — a huge in-your-face from you dims —
we took that personally, too.
Our response to your offenses was on Nov 8, 2016.
Eat your hearts out.
Boring
Why’d Donald pick one of these “demeaned women” to run the first presidential campaign ever by a major party (if ever at all) run by a woman?
Your picture is TOO simple, dear lefty.
We could point out that Hillary supported Bill Clinton when he also got into sex shenanigans (and badly enough that the complaints became notorious for more than a fortnight). Defenders say that, like Donald’s indiscretions, these were long ago. So fine, the question remains. Who did the best thing with his or her life at the end of the day, both sins and sanctity?
Well it turns out that Hillary had a very bad skeleton in her see-through closet: unconditional abortion. That demeans both girls and boys, both women and men. Not even the former Democrat Donald Trump was able to comfortably countenance this, and declared “Planned Parenthood” a plague.
And as for the “demeaned races”? These are identity groups of people who were pumped and coaxed with disastrous ideas by lefties like you. That they had the green light to run roughshod over an American society that was forbidden to respond in kind, in a suicidal mockery of magnanimity (while you showed no magnanimity to this American society).
Donald Trump is now leading the rest of us in stuffing these malign genies back into their bottle. If the peoples of these identity groups stop setting themselves against the American people, they will see a welcome mat once more.

I have yet to hear of a single example of Trump “disparaging”. Black people .
This woman is a former federal judge.
**************
At least it’s former and not current. Appointed by
Bill Clinton and retired in 2011.
Liberals don’t understand the Trump phenomenon - his closest parallel as I’ve always said is Andrew Jackson. Interestingly, Bannon made the same comment yesterday.
Liberals underestimate Trump - and what his policies will do to them. I predict the Democrat party will soon become a collection of terrorists, militant homos, and liberal “people of color”
Of course she takes it personally. She was a Clinton appointee to a federal judgeship. How convenient for her to be able to overlook all the lies and criminality oozing out of that administration.
we’re always awake. Thanks for the reminder anyways.
And it’s likely, had John McCain gotten the hearing he deserved to get, Sarah Palin would now be president anyhow.
Pardon me while I roll my eyes.
Yes, Madam Harvard law professor, you DO take it personally for the very reasons you denied up front. She’s one of your cronies (or rather you’re one of hers). She failed to break your symbolic glass ceiling on the American presidency which you seem to consider a ceremonial office, an appropriate theater for your symbolism.
As to Trump demonizing anyone, you demonized him and will continue to do so, the good of the country be damned.
If anyone in election 2016 could fit the labels pinned on me, it is the pinners themselves who brought these false themes into the center of this election. Or in other words, projected their way of seeing one another onto me. I say, let them keep the blindfold on, spin them toward the closest mirror and send them on their way.
Elections are not crosstown high school rivalries.
Elections are about selecting the best person for a government job.
We have had eight years of poor service from a President put into that office based on people’s “feelings”.
They should save their feelings for their diaries and vote for the best person for the job.
Hillary Clinton is a lying, thieving, bullying, cheating, traitorous, insane, dirty little snot who flunked her bar exam and freezes up like a department store dummy.
Kind of like Jackson, but not quite so much “let them eat cake.” Any Trails of Tears under Trump will have been richly earned, not just events of mishap.
