The settlement includes restitution for students and $1 million in penalties to the state but does not require Trump to acknowledge wrongdoing.
SAN DIEGO President-elect Donald Trump has agreed to a $25 million settlement to resolve three lawsuits over Trump University, his former school for real estate investors.
The deal announced Friday by New York state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman would settle a lawsuit he filed three years ago, plus two class-action lawsuits in California filed on behalf of former Trump University students.

I think he makes that just in interest a day doesn’t he?
I don’t know but he can certainly handle it...
Exactly. Smart move. He needs and wants to be able to focus on being president of the US to “make America great again”.
The MSM and the Dems would like to sink him if they could.
MSM will probably ‘harp’ on this for a few days. Just sayin.
$10,000,000 for the lawyers..$1850 each for the plaintiffs.
Presidet Trump is clearing the decks of his battle ship.
The Trump ship of state is leaving port on 20th January, 2017.
Fully provisioned with ordnance and victuals, commanded by the very best.
We must stay ashore as part of the signals corps, but the battle will be joined, and we will emerge victorious!
God bless the United States of America.
I know a number of college graduates who paid far more in tuition who are currently waiting tables, driving cabs, and living with their parents. Maybe this will set a new trend of suing the colleges in class action lawsuits. I hope it does.
I myself have three relatives, college graduates of four year state schools, in that boat. One, a History major, is waiting tables at Olive Garden, another, a Psychology major, is a nurse’s assistant emptying bed pans, another, a Poly-Sci major, is unemployed, and all three ( ages 25-30) are living with their parents and voted for Hillary.
If Trump University can held accountable for failing to properly educate its students for the real world, why not the state colleges and universities?
He certainly can not look forward to advanced appointments on the bench - maybe he should switch careers.
Hear! Hear!
Reporting for duty!
Their plight is not the fault of the university.
They spent four years pursuing an effectively worthless degree, instead of learning a marketable skill that is in demand.
Part of the deal is they can never speak of it. They all gave glowing ratings..
Did they think they were attending Harvard?
Sure they will. Watch for tape of Trump saying "I'll never settle...I'm going to reopen Trump University" and all the rest. But despite all that settling was the wisest course. It gets him behind and allows him to get on with the transition.
If Trump University can held accountable for failing to properly educate its students for the real world, why not the state colleges and universities?
There a doctrine in law called “ contributory negligence” wherein the plaintiff is guilty of creating their own situation and precluded from recovery.
Not to be overly critical but even in the 1960’s when I was in school, Socialogy and Poli-Sci majors were objects of cackling derision.
Best part: It’ll now be open season on every so-called institution of higher learning in the country. Sic ‘em, snowflakes!
Snowflakes: some of your alma maters have billions in endowments. Yours, and your lawyers, for the taking....
CHARGE!!!!!
Lefties, you are soooo gonna rue going after Trump U....
When I hear the MSM, all I hear is “Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah,
Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah , , , now, back to you,
Jennifer . . “
Know what I heard this time: ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching....
