Here’s a slightly different account, and I applaud the TExan in the audience quoted in the article:
Also....I don’t think the reports that say that the cast lectured Pence is really accurate.
What I read about their statement is 1) sincere gratitude that he showed up. 2) they ARE afraid that they “won’t be protected”...but 3) they hope he enjoyed the show.
With regards to #2...honestly I don’t find that offensive. I find it childish...but I also find it entirely honest.
The problem with liberalism is that it is a mental illness that effects about half the country and causes them to see the world in these terms. They have literally no rational basis to fear Pence in the way that they do. That is indisputable. YET....it is also indisputable that Trump/Pence will obviously protect ALL Americans from terrorism, and eventually, from crony capitalism, and from those who hate the Constitution. We can’t dispute that they are afraid. That’s just a statement of fact.
What we can dispute is that their fears are grounded in rationality. Their fears are absurd. But such is the work product of liberalism.
In any event...I’m saddened by their statement, but it is NOWHERE nearly as offensive as it could be. I see it as an honest statement of what they FEEL (ugh...)...and I also see it is a small step forward.
At least he was there. And at least the cast spoke to him and thanked him for being there.
That’s better than the assholes that booed our vice President.
Just heard alittle of it on radio news here. Sounded like the cast member was preaching to Pence about “tolerance”. These leftists are getting wackier by the minute.
I heard it just the other day from my sister-in-law, whom I wouldn’t have taken as hugely lefty until I heard it... she thinks Christians shouldn’t be selling wedding cakes unless they will sell them to homosexual couples too.
And hence is the problem. These snow flakes want to be protected against being embarrassed somewhere, someplace, that they demand something and get declined. Even if their demand is only a test and they’d never actually want to go to that place.
