I am married to a Mexican National now a United States Citizen via the legal way. She went to University in the United States and her father paid out of country tuition which is even higher than out of state tuition.

She grabbed the American Dream and ran with it, the legal way. She is a computer engineer now retired despite the fact her former employer wants her to come back to work. This is the way the American Dream is supposed to be.

At the same time I see and know illegals that work here. Do we throw them out? Do we let them stay? I do think there is a rational and moral road in between and it is harsh.

1. If you have a criminal record you are gone.
2. If you do not have a criminal record you may stay if you have the means to support yourself.
3. Your family must remain in your country of origin until you are a legal resident of our nation, if not all will be deported.
3. If you are a non citizen you will receive no welfare or medical benefits of any kind until you are a citizen unless it is an emergency situation of life or death.
4. To obtain citizenship it must be just like anyone else, the legal way.
5. If you have been deported and return you will do hard time in jail and it will not be pleasant.

Our great nation should be a Mecca for those willing to share in our ideals and greatness. Those that share this concept will make us even greater. Those that do not share this concept will make us lesser.

ps
My brother in law waited 18 years to become a citizen of our great nation. He did it the legal way. He never took one damn cent in welfare.

God bless, sir - thanks for sharing. My wife took some 10 years to get her citizenship from application. Got it about a year before we got married. This means so much to her. She was on the Trump train before I hoped aboard. Illegal immigration is a slap in the face to all our new American family, friends and neighbors.

2. If you do not have a criminal record you may stay if you have the means to support yourself.

Please explain how an illegal alien gets on an American payroll without committing some form of identity theft. When I hire American citizens, I have to go through the I-9 e-verify process. When I hire somebody with a green card or H1-B, the same I-9 process e-verify takes longer and is more complicated. The whole thing is keyed off having proper documents. An illegal alien, by definition, doesn't have proper documents.

The only way your item #2 works is if you don't consider identity theft a crime. Or if you don't count it as a crime unless you are caught and get a record.

Your #3 is an impossible condition.

If they are here, they will get Welfare. These is no way to stop this.

You can pass all the laws you want, and they will be undone immediately by judges and local officials who do not agree.
