DONALD Trump's closest politial ally has rubbished Russia's claims of military might as he angles for a top job in the Republican new administration.
Former mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani said the Kremlin's aggressive rhetoric was all bluster, suggesting Moscow did not pose a threat to the West.
Mr Giuliani, who is being lined up for the job of Secretary of State - America's equivalent of foreign secretary - blasted: "Russia thinks it's a military competitor - it really isn't."
But the senior Republican also attacked Barack Obama for allowing Vladimir Putin to seize on instability around the world to increase his power.
He added: "It's our unwillingness under Obama to even threaten the use of our military that makes Russia so powerful."
Mr Giuliani, New York's mayor at the time of September 11 attacks, is known as a hardliner on national security matters.

The Russian people are very happy with Trump’s election.
Nothing to be gained by trying to embarrass or antagonize Russia. We have to work together against muslims.
Russia is a lot like Gondor, in Lord of the Rings. They have been fending off various tribes of Orcs for a long time, to a large extent this kept Muslim incursions to a minimum in Western Europe. (exceptions being Spain, Sicily, attacks on Vienna)
Russia has spent centuries bleeding from various hordes from the East (Mongols, etc) and the South (Muslims).

This does not sound like something Guliani would say. Some liberal probably wrote some BS blog or news article trying to kill his chances for Secretary of State.
I listen to various conservative talkers on my morning and evening commutes. Unfortunately, their news reports come from the liberal MSM radio networks. I might trust their weather reports and maybe their box scores, but beyond that, it is mostly disinformation and propaganda. Pravda and Izvestia brought to 2010’s America.
My suspicions too. Guliani is smarter than this.

The only solution might have to be in Trump eliminating the usual MSM reporters pool, and replacing them with "alternative" cyber news reporters from those sites with a record of researching and reporting THE truth.
