Interesting idea. At first I thought, "No way" but after recalling that Sierra Club President testimony I might change my mind. I don't see Trump making the safe pick and the DOJ is a cesspool in bad need of a flush.

If it’s not going to be Rudy it should be Jeff Sessions. He is definitely someone you can trust to clean up the DOJ. Hell no to Cruz! He can’t be trusted and he’s not as tough as he talks. And what happened to Trey Gowdy? Even Jim Jordan would be better than Cruz!
