She said Cruz, who ultimately backed Trump, was there visiting with President-elect Donald Trump to help him achieve his goal: to “drain the swamp...”

I hope he was just giving Trump some suggestions for the Supreme Court.
We already know how soft he is on illegal immigration, so I certainly don’t trust them as the AG. And I’m not sure that I trust him as a Justice either.

Hey, i had a thought... Maybe Trump is thinking about nominating him for the SC, then we can all sit back and watch Cruz fall apart as his hooker problem gets exposed.
That way, he’ll be out of our state forever, at least in a political position, and Trump will look magnanimous in his efforts to redeem him. :-)

Ted tried to foist off the idea that he was always against illegal immigration. Ted worked with presidential candidate George Bush helping him to develop his weasel words for use to deflect his duty to stop illegal immigration and deport the illegals. Ted lied.
Jump ahead to Ted’s support for Corker. He says he did that to outsmart everyone by voting for it. He said it helped us. I guess that’s why every single Democrat voted for it too. Ted lied.
He said he only suggested an increase to 500% of the H1-B visas each year as a poison pill. Three years later he was still pushing it. Caught, he had to quickly put that on hold then quietly let it die. He lied.
He said he was against TPP. If I am against something, I don’t vote for any support legislation that is needed for it to pass. Ted voted for TPA, a necessary step to TPP passage. He lied.
Ted said he wanted what was best for America. When he lost the nomination he refused to back Trump a the Convention to help defeat Hillary Clinton. So Ted was lying the whole time.
He continued to hold back his support for Trump, and seemed to enjoy immensely the idea he was a NeverTrumper. All the while the publican is trying to make a decision, Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Ted let them hang. He had been offended. To hell with the nation. He had lied.
Ted signed a pledge to support whoever won the nomination. Did he? Not really! He lied.

Trump would miss a great opportunity if he did not appoint the Honorable Senator Ted Cruz to this position
I’m still very interested in whether Mr. Cruz’ mother voted in any Canadian elections prior to Mr. Cruz’ birth, essentially sealing in Canadian citizenship, and denying US citizenship to her son, who would then have no American parents.
My gut tells me you shouldn’t waste a Supreme Court pick on Cruz. He’ll be worse than Roberts and twice as squirrelly.
