Rob Reiner: Trump Represents Last ‘Fight of the Civil War’

Monday night in Austin, TX, at the screening for his film “LBJ” in an interview with FOX 7 Austin, liberal actor and director Rob Reiner said the victory of President-elect Donald Trump represents the final fight of the “Civil War.”
Reiner said, “Trump is hanging on to the what I’ve said is it’s the last fight of the Civil War. It’s the last gasp and the last throws of people who are just desperately hanging on to this kind of white nationalism that existed prior to LBJ passing the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act and all of that.”

He’s hanging on the the Civil War? Is he a Democrat? They were the ones who started the Civil War to hold on to power. They were the ones who started the KKK and enacted Jim Crow post-war to maintain power.

Hey Rob, I first remember seeing you acting as 'Meathead' on 'All In The Family. I did not realize then, that you were NOT ACTING!

Last week about this time, Meathead was probably still happy, eagerly anticipating an easy victory for Hillary. A few hours later, you can bet he was in tears. I remember seeing him at some election gathering in 2000, bursting into tears when Gore lost.
If Rob is unhappy about this, why, I bask in the warmth of his discomfort.
