What is Trump's political ideology, if any and is "Trumpism" a movement? Will U.S. foreign policy be any different under a Trump administration? Some years ago, public intellectual Noam Chomsky warned that the political climate in the U.S. was ripe for the rise of an authoritarian figure. Now, he shares his thoughts on the aftermath of this election, the moribund state of the U.S. political system and why Trump is a real threat to the world and the planet in general.

Trump’s election is probably the best thing that has happened to Chomsky (or should that be Choomsky, because he is obviously smoking lots of dope...) in eight years.

I’ve seen him in the news, on FR pages etc, maybe twice- three times since 0bama was elected. Now he will be in the news, spreading his stupid opinions and hate several times a week.
